IELTS Listening Practice Lesson No-01
My name is Riad. I'm from Bangladesh, but I moved to the USA two years ago. I left home because I got a job in New York. I teach science at a university. Six months ago, I met a beautiful woman named Jessica. Jessica grew up in New York, but she went to college in the States. It was very surprising to meet someone who spoke my language so well. We began to go out, and we fell in love. Two weeks ago, on a Saturday night, I asked Jessica to marry me. She was surprised, but she said "Yes". Now we are engaged. Two years ago, I came to New York for a job. Now I'm staying because I met Jessica. Isn't life interesting?
